The Wayne Metropolitan
Housing Authority has 224 units of
housing in eight different projects
that were developed with funds provided
by the United States Department of
Housing and Urban Development. Included
in these projects are 120 units of
housing designated for the elderly
and/or disabled in high-rise buildings.
Our family housing exhibits many of
the features that new non-subsidized
apartments have. Many of our public
housing units have extra design features
that make them most desirable.
Families
living in Public Housing typically
pay 30% of their adjusted income for
rent and utilities. The family must
meet the following income guidelines
for eligibility:
